Eid El-Assam, a Bedouin camel rider and the first place winner of the Grand Camel Race, takes a moment of rest at the finale of the event. Held for the first time in the Negev desert as a gesture to Bedouin tradition, the race was orgenized by two friends, a Bedouin and a Jew, and consisted of several camel races, accompanied by a mass festival; hundreds of Bedouin and Jews took part in the event.
