| Ahikam Seri (b.1972, Jerusalem) is a freelance photojournalist, based in Jerusalem. His work regularly appears in magazines and newspapers in Europe and US. Between 1995 and 1998 he studied photography at Hadassah college in Jerusalem. He then went on, up until 2002, taking freelance assignments for Israeli media. Since 2002 to date, he completed assignments and published reportage, in Politiken, L'espresso, Time, Paris Match, Ei8ht, D la Repubblica Delle Donne, among many other international titles. His reportage has received international recognition; an IFDP grant from FiftyCrows (US 2003), an Allroads Photography award from National Geographic (US 2004), a solo slideshow at Visa Pour L'image (FR 2004), a Nikon NPCI 1st place (JP 2003) and PDN Photo Annual (US 2008), among several others. Group exhibitions and book projects include "This Day of Change" by Courrier Japon (JP 2009), "Nazar" and "Act of Faith" by Noorderlicht photofestival (NL 2004 & 2007), and "Reality Crossings" by Mannheim photofestival (DE 2007). agencies: panos pictures, laif, réa |
